- The exact venue will be informed to the candidates through admit cards.
- The Candidates shall make their own arrangements for travel/boarding etc.
- At the time of online submission of the application form, the candidate will be required to choose the city in which he/she wants to take the test.
- The choice of city will depend on the availability of the test centers in a particular city and the allotment shall be done on a first come first serve basis.
- During the submission of the online application form, the candidate will be able to see only those cities where testing seats are available.
- While the city will be chosen by the candidate himself/herself at the time of online submission of the application form, allotment of the test center/venue in the chosen city shall be done by NBE.
- In case the testing seat is not available in the State/UT in which the candidate prefers to appear in FMGE, he/she can choose the option OTHERS from the list of States/UTs at the time of selection of the State/UT during online submission of the application form.
- NBE will make all efforts to ensure that the candidate is allotted a testing center in the State of correspondence address of the candidate. In case the testing seat is not available in the concerned State due to logistic, administrative, or other reasons, the testing center in a nearby State shall be allocated.
- Candidates opting for the OTHERS option shall be informed about their testing city by.
- Requests for change of testing center/city shall not be entertained. Candidates are advised not to canvass for the same.
FMGE Exam Centres Location:
- Address and location: The exact address and location of the test centers shall be indicated on the admit card.
- Candidates are advised to familiarize themselves with the test center locations at least one day prior to the examination day.
- Ensure that they report for the exam as per the scheduled time only.
- Candidates are required to plan their travel accordingly.
- Reporting time: Candidates are required to report at the ‘Reporting Counter’ of the test venue as per the time indicated in their admit cards.
- Candidates reporting late or beyond the prescribed time shall not be allowed to appear in the exam under any circumstances.
- Security protocol and ID checks:
- Barcode/QR Code Reader at Entry Points: The candidate will flash the admit card and ID proof for verification to the exam functionary standing across the table with a barcode/QR code reader. The candidate shall be informed about the assigned lab number.
- Identity checks made upon arrival at the test center to ensure that there are no unauthorized candidates appearing for the exam (cooperate with the security checks).
- Use of Thermo Guns: All candidates will be checked at the entry point for fever with the thermo guns. In case, any candidate is observed to be having above-normal temperature (> 99.14 Degree F) or displaying any symptoms of COVID-19 infection, he/she will be allowed to take the examination in a separate isolation lab.
- Only candidates will be allowed:
- Only the candidates who have been issued the admit cards will be allowed at the examination center subject.
- Friends or relatives accompanying the candidates will not be allowed entry and will not be allowed to contact the candidate while the examination process is ongoing.

FMGE Exam Day Procedures:
- New protocol FMGE December 2023:
- NBE shall be conducting the Social Distanced – Computer Based Test (SD-CBT): in a safe and secure environment maintaining social distancing norms wherever needed. NBE reserves its right to review the test day processes of conduct of CBT in the wake of changing scenario of the COVID-19 pandemic.
- The entry of Candidates as per Time Slots given in the Admit Cards: Candidates are required to report at the ‘Reporting Counter’ of the test venue as per the time indicated in their admit cards to avoid crowding at the test venue entry, there will be staggered time slots for candidates to report.
- The reporting counter will close 30 minutes prior to the test start time. This will allow time for security checks, identity verification, and checking in for examination.
- Candidates reporting late or beyond the prescribed time shall not be allowed to appear in the exam under any circumstances. NBE shall not be responsible for any delayed arrival of the candidate in reaching the center due to any reason whatsoever.
- Please note that only the candidates who have been issued admit cards will be allowed entry inside the examination center premises subject to fulfillment of documentary requirements.
- Friends or relatives accompanying the candidates will not be allowed entry in the examination center premises under any circumstances and will not be allowed to contact the candidate while the examination process is ongoing.
- Barcode/QR Code Reader at Entry Points: The candidate will flash the admit card and ID proof for verification to the exam
functionary standing across the table with the barcode/QR code
reader. The candidate shall be informed about the assigned lab
number. At no time will the exam functionary touch any document of the candidate - Use of Thermo Guns: All candidates will be checked at the entry point for fever with the Thermo guns. In case, any candidate is observed to be having above-normal temperature (> 99.14 Degree F) or displaying any symptoms of COVID-19 infection, he/she will be allowed to take the examination in a separate isolation lab.
- Finger Biometrics of candidates shall be captured: read the section below.
- Candidates will be permitted to carry certain items with them to the examination lab (Please read the admit card carefully for items permitted to carry inside the examination centers):
- Face Mask (Compulsory)
- Gloves
- Personal hand sanitizer in a transparent bottle (50ml)
- Exam-related documents (Admit card, ID Card, etc) (Compulsory)
- Frisking (Body pat as well as HHMD) will be done.
- Face ID shall be verified: read the section below.
FMGE Exam Centers 2023 Security protocol, Identity verification, and biometric information collection:
- Candidates at the test center shall undergo some procedures as per the security protocol and biometric information shall be captured to ensure that only genuine and bonafide candidates appear for the exam.
- Barcode/QR Code Reader at Entry Points: The candidate will flash the admit card and ID proof for verification to the exam functionary standing across the table with a barcode/QR code
reader. The candidate shall be informed about the assigned lab number. At no time will the exam functionary touch any document of the candidate. - Identity verification: made upon arrival at the test center to ensure that there are no unauthorized candidates appearing for the exam (cooperate with the security checks)
- Face ID shall be verified: at the time of registration for the test and at each bio-break and at the time of exit of the candidate against the photograph uploaded in the application. Therefore, it is essential to upload a recent photograph in the application as per the image upload guidelines prescribed.
- Barcode/QR Code Reader at Entry Points: The candidate will flash the admit card and ID proof for verification to the exam functionary standing across the table with a barcode/QR code

- Left/Right thumbprints of all the candidates will be captured to avoid any cases of impersonation (candidates should cooperate)
- Photographs and signatures of the candidates: shall also be captured on the exam day at the center.
- Finger Biometrics of candidates shall be captured: at the time of registration for the test at the test venue in SD-CBT.
- Manual Attendance with signature shall also be done.
- Any candidate not adhering to the aforementioned security measures will not be allowed to take the test.
- Escort & check-in:After verification of ID and capture of Face ID, candidates will be escorted to the designated computer terminal at the test center and an Invigilator will check in the candidate after verification of ID and capture of biometrics.
- Duration of keeping the IDs: Candidates should keep their admit card and photo identification at all times during the conduct of the examination.
- Specifics of the workstation: Each workstation will be blocked from three sides (front, left, and right).
- Directions:

- Candidates are required to listen to the invigilator’s instructions to begin the exam.
- The candidate may raise his or her hand to notify Invigilator of any issues during the exam.
- Candidates are advised not to look around at other candidates (surveillance cameras are around)
- Any suspicious or disruptive behavior: on the part of the candidate may lead to the cancellation of the candidature.
