Assessment Options

1. AMC CAT MCQ Examination:
   • Tests knowledge in general practice, internal medicine, pediatrics, psychiatry, surgery, obstetrics, and gynecology.
2. AMC Clinical Examination:
   • Assesses clinical skills in medicine, surgery, obstetrics, gynecology, pediatrics, and psychiatry. It also evaluates communication skills with patients, families, and health workers.

3. AMC Workplace-based Assessment (WBA):
   • Requires passing the AMC CAT MCQ Examination and obtaining registration before applying for a WBA program. Involves working in an approved clinical position.

1. Confirm Eligibility:
   • Verify medical school, degree title, and graduation year eligibility.
2. Create MyIntealth and AMC Accounts:
   • Establish accounts for seamless communication and document sharing.
3. Establish AMC Portfolio:
   • Create an online portfolio through a step-by-step process.
4. Pathway Selection:
   • Choose an eligible pathway based on individual circumstances.
5. Qualification Verification:
   • Submit medical degree for Primary Source Verification (PSV) through MyIntealth. Australian or New Zealand degrees may be exempt.

   • Register for a MyIntealth account for ECFMG verification.
2. AMC Candidate Account Setup:
   • Create an AMC candidate account for document sharing and assessment access.
3. AMC Portfolio Establishment:
   • Create an online portfolio for application submission and qualification verification.
4. Qualification Verification Process:
   • Submit eligible medical degree and other credentials through MyIntealth for verification.
5. Pathway Selection and Application Fee:
   • Choose an eligible pathway and proceed with the application process. Fees apply.

2. Clinical Examination:

4. AMC Portfolio Application:

Primary Source Verification (PSV)

• Definition: Verification of credentials from the training institution that awarded the qualification.
• Mandatory for: All international medical graduates.
• Facilitated by: ECFMG through the MyIntealth platform.

English Language Proficiency

• Mandatory for: All applicants, unless exempted by the Medical Board of Australia.
• Exemptions Granted by: Medical Board of Australia based on conditions outlined in the English Language Skills Registration Standard.

Identification and Passport Requirements

• Photo Requirements: Upload a recent photo for identity confirmation.
• Passport: Provide a copy of the identification page(s) in a valid passport.
